Back to my scrapbooking roots

Well I decided to take the plunge and head on back to the company that gave me my start in Scrapbooking.

I signed up to become a consultant with Creative Memories once again. Wow how they have changed! If you haven't checked them out in a while you definitely should. They have some amazing new tools and great papers. Of course my number one reason to rejoin was the albums!

If there is anything I can do to assist you or any questions I can answer please reach out. It would be my pleasure. Thank you!

Cricut Mug Press and Markers

So I received a Cricut Mug Press for Christmas and am finally starting to play around with it. I also got some of the infusible ink pens. So I decided to give this a go. When using the pens you only get an outline. Then you have to go through and color the design in before you heat set it. The image is not as crisp and clean as I would like it. But it is still pretty cool.

I'm getting a sublimation printer and look forward to creating some cool things with that ink rather than the pens!

Too Long! But Hopefully worth the wait!

Hello crafty friends!

Life has been full of fun and not so fun things! I hope that you have all been well! I am recovering from a total knee replacement and haven't really been able to do a whole lot of crafty the past few months. I'm seven weeks out now and finally at a place where I can sit for a length of time and create so this make me super happy! My Etsy shop is open again and things are shining bright!

So today I thought I would share my newest creation with you!

I created this fun layout for a customer using some Miss Kate files and Cricut files combined. Hope you enjoy it!

On to my next projects...I have some new fun things in mind!!

BBTB2 Last Challenge Warm & Cozy

Welcome to our Bitten by the Bug and Double Trouble Challenge collaboration. The theme for the next two weeks is "Warm & Cozy - Layer Up".

This Challenge runs from
Monday,  January 3rd thru Monday, January 17th

Below are the details of the challenge and for this last challenge you may use a die cut not necessarily Cricut made.  Yes, I said the last challenge. Unfortunately, work and personal life have taken a toll on our leader's time and she can no longer keep up with the demands of a challenge blog. Alicia would love to continue when her life allows. We are excited to go out on a high note collaborating with Double Trouble Challenge blog

Thing 1: Trouble Maker
says, "Today we're celebrating two special things - our 100th Challenge and Cuddle Up Day on January 6th! There's been nothing better than cuddling up with your sweet creations for 100 challenges and we hope that you feel the same way.

For Cuddle Up Day, let's think cozy and warm...  Layer Up!  You MUST use at least one die, punch, or machine cut and include at least two or more layers on your project. Bring on your card layering techniques and Layer Up."

You can stop here...
Or
You can go on to Twisted Sister's Optional Twist

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, "My favorite thing to cuddle with is a good book.
There are lots of other Things you can cuddle up with such as a sweater, mittens, quilt, easy chair, book, fur-babies, stuffed animal, fireside, etc.  Include your favorite cuddle up Thing.  What is your favorite?

If you have included the optional twist in your project, you will have earned another chance in our usual random draw.

Thing 2: Double Dare
says, "Bitten by the Bug 2 is a challenge that usually requires the inclusion of a cut from a Cricut machine, however, we CUT a Die'al with them. For this challenge only, our partner is accepting the use of cut items from punches, dies, and any cutting machine, but NO fussy-cutting!  Enter the Bitten by The Bug 2 Challenge for an extra chance in our usual random draw prize.

Here's my chilly layout!! It may be chilly but these adorable snowman are keeping warm with their hats and scarves. I just love them!

This was actually really fun to create! First I cut the stars out with Balsa wood on my Cricut Maker. Then I painted them by hand with red, white and blue acrylic paint. After the paint dried, I punched a hole for the ribbon and looped it through adding a bow on top with hot glue. I cut out my sentiment with vinyl and placed that on the ornaments, then gave them a coat of modge podge before adding the star and flowers. I just moved to Texas in April so these were a perfect addition to my tree.

Today I am sharing a family tree I made using a kit I purchased a while ago at an expo. There wasn’t much cutting involved with my Cricut except for my tiny title. I just love displaying this piece! One day I’ll update it to have my kids with their spouses and children. But for now it’s perfect!!

My project this week is a 6x6 card that features a whimsical tree and some pumpkins along with an oh so cute crow by Miss Kate Cuttables. Everything is a diecut except for the crow. He is an SVG cut out on my Cricut and he has lots of little layers like most Miss Kate files do.

I created this the basis of this card with a Stamp n Up Card Kit but I decided I wanted to add to it with my Cricut. To be honest my friend forgot to include my leaves for my flowers and my stamped sentiment was crooked (I'm a little OCD!! OK a lot!! LOL!)
So off to my cricut maker I go! I created new leaves and vines for my flowers!! Perfect!
And I made a new banner and instead of stamping I decided to print right on to it. I forget we can do that all the time! It is just so easy!!

I created this fun wall decor using some items from Dollar tree (the Boo!, bat, tulle, and orange balls. The patterned paper and die cuts are from Miss Kate Cuttables and I used my Cricut Maker to cut the die cuts. I think it turned out pretty cute and plan on making more to add to my etsy shop!
